| What
is Aromatherapy?
|
 |
Aromatherapy
combines the use of gentle , rhythmic massage with the therapeutic
effects of essential "natural" plant oils.
The Healing, Cleansing,
Preservative and Mood Enhancing properties of essential oils has
been recognised for more than 6000 years. All the oils used in
aromatherapy are highly concentrated and very complex substances
carrying the distinctive aromas and healing properties of the
original plants from which they are extracted
Because our
sense of smell is directly linked in the brain with memory and
emotional responses aromatherapy not only works on a physical
level, as an aid to many health conditions, but also on an emotional
level, enhancing mind, body and spirit.

| What
Happens during Aromatherapy Massage?
|
 |
Specific Essential
oils are selected and carefully blended into a base oil which
is suited to your personal needs and condition. This is then applied
to your skin. Only the purest essential oils are used.
Gentle stroking movements
are then used to soothe and relax you. This is combined with petrissage
(kneading/wringing) movements to help improve muscle flexibility
and tone, squeezing out toxins from tissues, stimulating the body's
blood and lymphatic circulation.
The application
of the oils feeds and nourishes the skin, aids exfoliation and
stimulates cell renewal while the massage warms and relaxes the
muscles releasing the tension which causes aches, pains and stiffness.
| Indian
Head & Shoulder Massage
|
 |
Indian head
massage is linked to Ayurvedic medicine and has been practised
in India for over a thousand years. It can be done with or without
oil, and involves intense massage of the scalp, face, neck, upper
back and shoulders while in a seated position and combines the
best of therapeutic massage with acupressure techniques.
Because tension
arising from stress usually accumulates in the Neck and Shoulders,
Indian Head Massage is very useful in releasing the causes of
recurring headaches, relieving eyestrain, improving scalp circulation,
clearing sinuses as well as offering immediate relief from stressed
muscles in your neck and shoulders.

Facelift Massage

"Let
Your Inner Beauty Radiate"
The stresses
and strains of our hectic lifestyles are often reflected in our
face due to the muscles tightening and constricting in the face,
head, neck and shoulders. This can lead to aches, pains and stiffness
in the muscles which compromises the skin's ability to metabolise
nutrients via the blood vessels and connective tissue.
An Ayurvedic
Facelift Massage releases new energy into the muscles of the face
by relieving tension and unlocking "stuck" connective
tissue increasing the skin's elasticity and allowing a greater
range of facial expression and mobility. Skin becomes softer and
smoother with a more radiant complexion; features become more
defined and contoured. The result is a more vibrant looking you.

Drainage Massage
|
 |
Lymphatic drainage
is a gentle, rhythmic and deeply relaxing massage that aids the
body in collecting and moving lymphatic fluid, which plays a key
role in delivering nutrients, antibodies and other immune constituents
to the tissue cells of the body. It also has the effect of removing
debris such as toxins, cell waste and dead particles which build
up in our bodies from poor eating habits and also from pollution
from the environment.
Lymphatic
drainage is recommended to help many conditions, including: Cellulite,
water retention (swollen ankles, bags under the eyes, etc.), constipation,
migraine and sinus problems - as well as many more It is also
a superb way to enhance (and especially start) any health or detox
plan.
